An individual who has been at the forefront of promoting corporate social responsibility in Mokpo, Jeonnam, has received the grand prize in the corporate sector at the Jeonnam ESG Citizen Award. At the 2nd Jeonnam ESG Citizen Awards Ceremony, Jungmin Joo, Director of Mokpo Smart One Dental Hospital, and Jinyoung Jang, CEO of ESG Life Network, were selected as the distinguished recipients.

This award ceremony was organized by the Jeonnam ESG Association, and awards were presented to a total of 38 institutions, organizations, and individuals who actively incorporated environmental (E), social (S), and governance (G) values into their daily lives and management practices.

Director Jungmin Joo was highly commended for consistently providing oral health checkups and dental support to low-income and vulnerable groups through a business agreement with Muan-gun, Jeonnam, in June. The award recognized his efforts to address welfare blind spots in the region, implement healthcare services that residents can truly feel, and spread the social value of ESG.

Director Joo stated, "As a member of the local community, I want to offer even a small amount of help to neighbors in need," and added, "I will continue to promote ESG practices as a medical institution through ongoing sharing."

The other awardee, CEO Jinyoung Jang, was recognized for leading the spread of ESG culture in the region by conducting ESG education and practical campaigns for local residents and establishing a community-based education system.

CEO Jang commented, "ESG is not a choice but a necessity, and it has become a fundamental value for all industries," adding, "I hope that sustainable growth will lead to the creation of value in the region."

Meanwhile, this award ceremony was held under the theme of "Co-governance for a Sustainable Jeonnam," and was evaluated as a regional cooperation platform where local residents, public institutions, and companies shared their commitment to implementing ESG practices together.
