The National Heritage Administration signed a sponsorship agreement worth 800 million won with Riot Games Korea on December 2 at LoL Park in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
Since entering into a national heritage guardian agreement with the National Heritage Administration in 2012, Riot Games has consistently supported the repatriation and conservation of national heritage. With this latest agreement, the company’s cumulative sponsorship has surpassed 10 billion won, making it the largest contribution among private companies.
Thanks to these sponsorships, a total of seven overseas cultural heritage items have been repatriated, starting with the "Three Buddhas of Joseon Buddhist Painting" in 2014 and most recently the "Plaque of Seonwonjeon Hall at Gyeongbokgung Palace" this year. Among them, the "Royal Investiture Book of Queen Sinjeong, Crown Princess of King Munjo" was designated as a national treasure in 2023.

In addition, Riot Games has supported the restoration of the original Korean Legation building in Washington, D.C., conservation of royal artifacts at the National Palace Museum of Korea, renovation of the House of Yi Sang, installation of unmanned ticketing machines at royal tombs and palaces, and cultural heritage experience programs for youth.
Next year, the sponsorship funds will be used for the repatriation of overseas heritage, conservation of domestic and international heritage, and improvement of palace visitor services.
