Ansan City in Gyeonggi Province is introducing an autonomous robot delivery service at the Hanyang University ERICA campus.
On December 2, Ansan City announced that ten units of "Ilgaemi," the outdoor autonomous delivery robot developed by RobotisAI, a subsidiary of the robotics company Robotis, began providing food delivery services at Hanyang University ERICA starting December 1.

This robot is an outdoor autonomous vehicle measuring 733 mm in width, 549 mm in length, and 729 mm in height, with a weight of 66 to 70 kg. Depending on the cargo compartment configuration, it is classified as either a single-type or open-type model. It supports an autonomous charging system that allows for up to six hours of continuous operation.
The robot offers free delivery services in collaboration with local businesses around the Hanyang University ERICA campus. The city expects this initiative to help small business owners reduce delivery costs and to provide local residents and students with enhanced convenience through advanced technology.
Previously, on November 10, the city signed a "service robot business agreement" with Robotis and has since been preparing to introduce the campus-based delivery robot service.
Lee Minguen, Mayor of Ansan, stated, "With this service as a starting point, we will foster an ecosystem for advanced industries, including AI and robotics, and strive to become a leading city in future technology industries."
