Hubei Province Business Delegation Familiarization Tour
On November 28, Wando County in South Jeolla Province announced that a delegation of business representatives from Hubei Province, China, visited Wando to discuss cooperation plans, including marine healing tourism.
The visit included 10 representatives from Hubei Province's economic, tourism, and trade sectors. The delegation toured major attractions such as Wando Tower and the Yi Sun-sin Memorial Hall, and visited abalone and seaweed processing facilities. At the Wando Marine Healing Center, they participated in programs such as marine healing experiences, abalone harvesting, and making abalone gimbap.

The delegation showed interest in healing programs that utilize Wando's pristine nature and marine resources. During the discussions, practical models were proposed, including the joint development of healing tourism products, exchanges between cultural tourism groups, promotion and marketing of Wando's healing tourism, and expanded exchanges of seafood products.
A member of the delegation stated, "Wando has an outstanding marine environment and well-equipped tourism facilities, making it an ideal destination for healing tourism. We will actively consider expanding exchanges between companies and institutions to promote joint projects in the future."
The county plans to use this familiarization tour as an opportunity to broaden the scope of exchange and cooperation with Hubei Province.
Shin Woochul, Governor of Wando County, said, "Our county has a deep historical connection with Admiral Yi Sun-sin and Ming Dynasty Admiral Chen Lin. We will strengthen our cultural tourism network with China and strive to attract group tourists."
