On November 27, boosted by the strong performance of the U.S. stock market, the KOSPI index rebounded above the 4,000 mark.
As of 9:15 a.m. on this day, the KOSPI index stood at 4,006.80, up 45.93 points (1.16%) from the previous trading day. The KOSPI had opened at 3,989.45, a 0.72% increase from the previous session.

Hanwha Aerospace (up 0.69%), KB Financial Group (up 0.56%), Hyundai Motor (up 0.38%), and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (up 0.18%) also saw increases.
This is attributed to the U.S. stock market's rally overnight, led by semiconductor stocks. The Philadelphia Semiconductor Index climbed 2.76%.
Lee Sunghoon, a researcher at Kiwoom Securities, commented, "Despite robust employment indicators such as weekly jobless claims exceeding expectations, risk appetite in the U.S. market generally improved, supported by expectations for a change in the Federal Reserve chair, as well as rallies in artificial intelligence (AI) technology stocks and semiconductor shares."
He added, "Reflecting the sharp rise in the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index, the KOSPI is likely to return to the 4,000-point level, driven by foreign capital inflows into large-cap stocks."
At the same time, the KOSDAQ index was trading at 882.77, up 5.45 points (0.62%) from the previous trading day. The KOSDAQ had opened at 879.44, a 0.24% increase from the previous session.
