Samsung Asset Management announced on November 26, 2025, that Kim Dounam, Head of the Customer Marketing Division, has been promoted to Executive Vice President in the '2026 Regular Executive Appointments.'
The company stated, "This executive appointment was made to promote core talent who has solidified our number one position in the rapidly changing Exchange Traded Fund (ETF) market by responding swiftly to market shifts."
They added, "Through this, we plan to strengthen our product and marketing capabilities, enhance the company's competitiveness, and further solidify our market dominance in key business areas."
Following the regular executive appointments, Samsung Asset Management is expected to finalize its organizational restructuring and position assignments in the near future.
Born in 1971, Executive Vice President Kim Dounam graduated from Korea University with a degree in Japanese Language and Literature and earned a master's degree in Financial Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). He joined Samsung Asset Management's Index Management Team in 2004, was promoted to Head of the Multi-Asset Management Division in 2017, and later moved to Head of the ETF Solutions Division in 2020. He has since served as Head of the ETF Strategy Division and Head of the ETF Business Division.
