On November 17, the Kia Certified Used Car Center Pyeongtaek Direct Store and the Purpose-Built Vehicle (PBV) Experience Center, a future mobility complex cultural space, opened in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province.
Gyeonggi Province announced that Kia Corporation invested 118.2 billion won to establish the nation’s first future mobility complex cultural space on a 61,500-square-meter site, with a four-story building and a total floor area of approximately 29,000 square meters.
The Kia Certified Used Car Center Pyeongtaek Direct Store and PBV Experience Center serve as a certified used car experience park. Going beyond simple vehicle sales, it is a new concept of future-oriented mobility space where customers can directly experience and engage with mobility solutions.
The facility features certified used car exhibitions and sales, purpose-built vehicle exhibitions, new car experience and driving tracks, and a playground for pets. It also provides customer convenience spaces connected to the Pyeongtaek Service Area, making it an open space for both local residents and visitors to enjoy.
This investment attraction is regarded as a core achievement of Gyeonggi Province’s strategy to build an ecosystem for the future mobility industry.
Following the opening of the electric vehicle-exclusive plant in Gwangmyeong last September and the completion of the purpose-built vehicle-exclusive plant in Hwaseong on the 14th, the launch of the Kia Certified Used Car Center Pyeongtaek Direct Store and the PBV Experience Center has enabled Gyeonggi Province to establish a future mobility industry belt connecting the southern region of the province.
Through these efforts, Gyeonggi Province has further strengthened a full-cycle mobility ecosystem, encompassing PBV and EV development, production, experience, and sales.

Currently, automotive research and development (R&D) investment in the province accounts for 71.1% of the national total, and the number of related researchers stands at approximately 23,000, representing 61.6% nationwide.
Gyeonggi Province established a close cooperation system with Pyeongtaek City and Kia in advance, and succeeded in attracting this investment through proactive administrative support via a public-private consultative body. In particular, the province took the lead in creating a business-friendly investment environment by quickly resolving issues such as delays in access road construction during the project.
Park Geungyun, Director General of International Cooperation at Gyeonggi Province, said, "The Kia Certified Used Car Center Pyeongtaek Direct Store and PBV Experience Center are the result of Gyeonggi Province’s strategic investment attraction activities and close cooperation with Kia and Pyeongtaek City. Gyeonggi Province will continue to create an environment where businesses can invest with confidence and actively support the region’s growth as a hub for the future mobility industry."
Meanwhile, Gyeonggi Province plans to continuously strengthen a business-friendly investment environment and regional industrial competitiveness through tailored investment attraction activities such as investment consultations and familiarization tours, as well as collaboration with private professional organizations, to attract global anchor companies in advanced strategic industries such as mobility and semiconductors.
