Nyou Signs MOU with Microsoft Korea for Global AI Game Innovation

AI Models Applied to MMORPG Bellatores

South Korean game developer Nyou announced on the 12th that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for a technology partnership with Microsoft Korea (MS) to expand its global services and drive artificial intelligence (AI)-based game innovation.

The signing ceremony took place on November 11 at the Microsoft Korea office in Seoul, with key figures in attendance, including Nyou CEO Kim Junghwan and Min Juhong, Head of Gaming Business at Microsoft Korea.

Through this agreement, Nyou will utilize Microsoft Azure's cloud infrastructure and AI-based performance optimization solutions to enhance the stability and scalability of its global service operations and expansion.

Nyou plans to apply AI models to its next-generation massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), Bellatores, for features such as NPC behavior, content recommendations, and real-time balancing. Bellatores is a high-end graphics-based open-world MMORPG, characterized by its realistic combat system and expansive universe.

In addition, Nyou intends to expand Bellatores, which is currently PC-based, to console and mobile platforms in the future to reach a broader global user base. The company also aims to strengthen collaboration by serving as a leading case study for Azure-based AI games through preview programs and technical workshops.

Kim Junghwan, CEO of Nyou, stated, "By leveraging Microsoft's cloud and AI technologies, we will add stability and scalability to our global services and deliver an entirely new level of immersion to players through AI-driven features."

Min Juhong, Head of Gaming Business at Microsoft Korea, added, "We plan to actively support Nyou's global growth not only through technical assistance but also by collaborating across marketing and ecosystem expansion."
