Guri City Holds "Visiting Dialogue with Citizens"
Six Sessions to Strengthen Citizen Communication at Three Line 8 Stations
Guri City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyunghyun) announced that it held the 'Visiting Dialogue with Citizens' at Guri Station on November 10.
This program was organized to further strengthen communication with citizens in celebration of the 40th Citizens' Day. It marks the first event of the 'Visiting Dialogue with Citizens,' which will take place from November 10 to 27.
For this event, Guri Mayor Baek Kyunghyun personally visited locations where citizens gather to listen to their everyday inconveniences and suggestions and to seek solutions together. Starting with Guri Station, Guri City plans to hold a total of six sessions, with two events each at Guri Station, Donggureung Station, and Jangja Lake Park Station.
The detailed schedule for the event is as follows: November 10 and November 24 at Guri Station; November 13 and November 27 at Jangja Lake Park Station; and November 17 and November 25 at Donggureung Station. All events will be held from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
The event operates by allowing citizens to freely leave their opinions in advance using QR codes and Post-it boards installed at each station. On the day of the event, the mayor will respond directly to these submissions.
Additionally, an on-site Q&A session will be provided, creating an open space where any participating citizen can ask the mayor questions and receive immediate answers.
Mayor Baek Kyunghyun stated, "I will realize open administration by listening to the inconveniences and suggestions that citizens experience in their daily lives and by seeking solutions together with public officials. We will continue to expand field-oriented communication opportunities that citizens can truly feel."
