Bank of Korea Governor Rhee Changyong to Attend ADB Annual Meeting in Milan

The Bank of Korea announced on May 1 that Governor Rhee Changyong will attend the 58th Annual Meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), which will be held in Milan, Italy from May 4 to 7.

During the meeting, Governor Rhee will engage in extensive discussions with finance ministers and central bank governors from major countries, as well as with representatives from the ADB and the international financial community. He plans to exchange views on the global economic situation and policy challenges, including those in the Asia-Pacific region.


On May 4, Governor Rhee will also attend the Korea-China-Japan Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting, which will take place in the same city, to discuss regional economic trends and ways to enhance financial cooperation. At the ASEAN+3 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors’ Meeting, he will exchange views on the recent financial and economic situation and major risk factors, and seek consensus among member countries to strengthen regional financial cooperation.


Following this, from May 7 to 9, Governor Rhee will visit Paris, France to meet with Mathias Cormann, Secretary-General of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), as well as other international financial figures. He will then attend the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) Governors’ Meeting in Basel, Switzerland, from May 10 to 12.
