Hwang Jung-eum joins Jay Park's agency

Actress Hwang Jung-eum has inked a contract with her new agency, SidusHQ.

As Hwang’s contract with Core Contents Media ended late last month, she has joined SidusHQ, which also manages the careers of popular Korean stars such as Jay Park and Song Joong-gi, the firm announced through a press release this morning.

“Hwang has been making strong impressions through her past dramas,” SidusHQ said in the announcement. “We will unconditionally support the actress to develop her acting skills in different genres.”

Hwang made her debut in girl group Sugar with Ayumi, Haeseung and Haleen in 2002, but the group quickly broke up after two years.

She has successfully stepped into the small screen after her works “High Kick 2” (MBC, 2009), “Giant” (SBS, 2010) and “Can You Hear My Heart” (MBC, 2011) all pulled off good records in terms of viewership ratings.
