Korean actor Park Si-hoo has been confirmed as the male lead in an upcoming movie opposite actor Jeong Jae-young, according to his agency Eyagi Entertainment.
On Wednesday, Eyagi announced in a press release that Park will play a serial murderer named Lee Doo-seok who writes a bestseller novel with the crimes he has committed in film "I'm a Murderer" (translated title) while Jeong will take on the role of the detective who chases him.
"I have dreamt of starring in a movie and have always wanted to play a character like Lee Doo-seok," Park was quoted as saying.
Park, 33, made his debut through a cameo appearance in KBS drama "Delightful Girl Choon Hyang" in 2005 and continued to appear in several dramas soon after including "Iljimae" and "Family's Honor."
He then appeared in popular series "Princess Prosecutor" (SBS, 2010) and "Queen of Reversals" (MBC, 2010).
He will begin shooting "Murderer" later this week after wrapping up his current series KBS' "The Princess' Man."
