Korean female idol NaNa of girl group After School will strut the catwalk as the main model for a fashion show in Japan next month.
On Tuesday, Pledis Entertainment announced in a press release that NaNa was selected as a model for the prestigious Tokyo Girls Collection fashion show to be held at the Saitama Super Arena on September 3.
"Only supermodels are chosen to walk for the Tokyo Girls Collection which takes place twice a year and it is a rare occasion for an artist to take part in the show as a model rather than performing for the show," an official from the Tokyo Girls Collection was quoted as saying.
NaNa had taken part in various fashion shows before making her debut as a member of After School in 2009. The group officially expanded their singing careers to Japan last month under major Japanese record company AVEX.
The girls released their debut single “Bang!” on August 16 which placed within the top ten of Oricon’s daily and weekly chart.
