Girl group KARA will make release their new album on September 6, according to their agency DSP Media on Tuesday.
DSP said through a statement that the album, set to be the girls' third studio release, will be revealed online on the midnight of September 5 and hit stores the following day.
Reservations for the limited edition of the album, which will include behind-the-scenes photographs, will open starting Thursday and of the fans who purchase the record, 100 will be invited to KARA's showcase set for September 14.
The album's title track "STEP" will be a powerful synth-pop number which delicately combines rock and electronica.
The new release is expected to receive much attention since it will be their first release in the country in ten months and also their first since their dispute earlier this year when members Han Seungyeon, Kang Jiyoung and Nicole Jung declared they would split from their agency DSP Media.
They decided in April that they would stay with DSP but since then, had only made a few TV appearances and held a fan meeting in mid-June.
KARA, also composed of members Gu Hara and Park Gyu-lee, is one of the most successful Korean girl groups to break into the Japanese market.
