Girl group Rainbow [DSP Media]
Female idol group Rainbow will make a comeback to the local music scene with a dance number composed by popular J-pop artist Daishi Dance, informed the group’s agency DSP Media on Wednesday. According to a press release by DSP, the seven-member group will release a mini-album in early April and will feature its title track composed by Daishi Dance, a famous music producer, composer and DJ in Japan. The statement said that Daishi Dance proposed the collaboration after listening to Rainbow's music in a car radio during his last visit to Korea. He visited the country several times since then, including for when he offered a song and produced it.The upcoming song, which has yet to be named, will be a powerful dance number incorporating delicate and emotional sounds from the piano.Daishi Dance, who has seen his own albums sweep several dance charts at home, is a well-known producer and composer of songs for other famous J-pop artists such as Hamasaki Ayumi, SMAP and Nakashima Mika. He also composed Korean idol group Big Bang’s hit song "Haru Haru” (Day after Day).Rainbow, formed of members Kim Jae-kyung, Oh Seung-a, Koh Woo-ri, No Eul, Jung Yoon-hye, Kim Ji-sook and Cho Hyun-young, made their debut in November 2009 with their single "Gossip Girl."They have been appearing as regulars for a Japanese TV show titled "HAN LOVE" which focuses on Korean entertainment since July.Daishi Dance [Daishi Dance's blog]
