Actress Lee Young-ae has become a mother of twins, a boy and girl, an official at Lee's agency Storm S Company said Monday.The heroine of hit TV series "Jewel in the Palace," 40, gave natural birth to the twins at a hospital in Seoul on Sunday morning. All three are healthy and are planning to leave the hospital sometime today.The official explained that Lee had been advised to undergo caesarean section in consideration of her age and it being her first time giving childbirth but the actress was determined to do so otherwise.Lee had taken all of Asia by surprise in August 2009 after unexpectedly marrying a 55-year-old Korean-American businessman in Hawaii.After the marriage, she had shot television commercials while studying for a doctoral degree in theater and cinema at Hanyang University but halted all activities after becoming pregnant.※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
