Still cut from 2NE1's music video "I'm Hurt" [YG Entertainment]
Black Eyed Peas producer DJ Poet has posted a comment on his Twitter account (//twitter.com/poetnamelife) about coming to Korea to help produce Korean girl group 2NE1's upcoming English album. On Monday, DJ Poet wrote a comment regarding 2NE1's U.S. debut album saying, "Off to korea with @boomnote josh one! Get ready for 2NE1!!!! Here we go!!!!" and replied to fellow DJ Chris CrosOne Wright, "no band today so I'm off to korea to write/produce for 2NE1!" Black Eyed Peas frontman will.i.am has worked with the girls since August of last year, preparing the album at his recording studio. So far they have recorded ten songs produced by the rapper himself and most recently, will.i.am 'tweeted' about what they have done so far for the album saying, "I can't wait to finish the 2ne1 album...what we have so far is soo soo good..." Composed of members CL, Bom, Sandara and Minzy, 2NE1 has been one of the most successful girl groups in the Korea since their debut in May 2008. They had been well-received in their return to the local music scene last September when they released their first full-length album "To Anyone" which topped numerous music charts with title tracks "Go Away," "Clap Your Hands" and "Can't Nobody" which they promoted simultaneously. The girls are currently working on expanding their singing into Japan after signing with the country's major recording company AVEX. A date for their U.S. debut has yet to be set.※ Any copying, republication or redistribution of 10Asia's content is expressly prohibited without prior consent of 10Asia.
