The group Big Bang will celebrate its 20th anniversary by holding a concert and resuming activities.
Hyunseok Yang, Executive Producer at YG Entertainment, announced the 2026 roadmap on March 4, stating, "We have reached an agreement with the Big Bang members to hold a concert." He added, "Since I have worked closely with the members for a long time, there should be no difficulties in preparing for the concert," emphasizing, "All staff will do their utmost to create a flawless and outstanding performance."
Both BABYMONSTER and TREASURE are also set for an active year. BABYMONSTER, whose mini album will be released in May, has chosen "Choom" as the title track. Yang introduced it by saying, "The Korean word 'Choom' (meaning 'dance') in Hangul gives off an Asian vibe and looks as if a person is dancing with their arms spread wide." BABYMONSTER plans to release its second full-length album in the fall and launch its second world tour, covering regions such as South America and Europe, starting in June.
TREASURE will begin the second phase of its activities with the release of a mini album in June. Yang remarked, "I was quite surprised when the members expressed their desire to pursue the hip-hop genre," and added, "People will be surprised to see TREASURE performing this type of music, and you can look forward to music that truly embodies YG’s style."
The debut plans for new groups are also taking shape. YG Entertainment is preparing a new boy group aiming for a fall debut. The remaining members of the four-member girl group tentatively named NEXT MONSTER will also be revealed soon.
Marking the company’s 30th anniversary, Executive Producer Yang pledged, "I will continue to make music with the same passion and commitment for the next 40th and 50th anniversaries." This roadmap is the first update directly delivered by Yang in about six months since last August.
