Expansion of Local Medical Infrastructure Anticipated
On March 3, Wonju City in Gangwon Province signed a memorandum of understanding with Wonju Yonsei Medical Center in the Investment Consultation Room on the 7th floor of City Hall to successfully promote the "Corporate City Wonju Yonsei Medical Center Second Hospital Construction Project."

This agreement aims to establish a cooperative foundation for the systematic and stable advancement of the Second Hospital construction project and to facilitate mutual consultation and support for various requirements that may arise during the course of the project.
Under the agreement, Wonju City will actively provide administrative support, such as permits and approvals, and will closely collaborate on all aspects including securing facilities, equipment, and personnel to enhance the health of local residents and strengthen essential medical services. Wonju Yonsei Medical Center plans to build the Second Hospital in Corporate City, contributing to improved residential conditions, providing high-quality medical services, and fulfilling its public role.
This agreement is expected to further strengthen the medical infrastructure in Corporate City, improve citizens' access to healthcare, and have a positive impact on enhancing the living conditions in Corporate City.
Mayor Won Kangsoo stated, "The construction of the Second Hospital is a significant turning point that goes beyond simply expanding medical facilities; it will establish a stable foundation for medical services," adding, "We will spare no effort in providing the necessary support to ensure the smooth progress of the project."
