Marking its 11th year of publication since its first release in 2016, this guidebook has become an essential manual for welfare work staff. The latest edition includes a total of 184 programs from 15 departments, covering both recipient-specific projects-such as those for vulnerable groups, children, persons with disabilities, and seniors-and sector-specific projects, including childbirth, childcare, employment, and housing. The guidebook systematically organizes information on application procedures, required documents, support details, and instructions for using welfare facilities, making it easy for users to find the information they need.

The new edition also reflects changes to welfare systems and eligibility criteria that are being introduced this year. It features 10 new projects and updates to existing projects in line with the latest standards. In addition, it covers proactive pilot projects such as integrated medical and nursing care and customized exercise services at home, in accordance with the integrated care program being fully implemented this year.

Starting March 4, the guidebook will be distributed to welfare-related departments, local community centers, and welfare facilities and affiliated organizations in the district. It will also be posted as a file so that any civil affairs staff member can readily utilize it. Furthermore, a smart information code (QR code) has been introduced, enabling users to instantly access the entire guidebook and quickly obtain welfare information even when working in the field.

Kim Kyungho, Mayor of Gwangjin District, said, "As the expertise of practitioners translates directly into welfare that residents can experience, we have systematically compiled welfare information based on 11 years of know-how. We will continue to incorporate changes in welfare systems and pursue meticulous welfare administration so that no one is left behind."
