Kim Hanjong, Governor of Jangseong County in South Jeolla Province, held a publication ceremony for his book, "Growth Jangseong Theory," which details over 1,350 days of on-site administration during the 8th popularly elected term, and presented future development directions for Jangseong.
The book launch event for "Growth Jangseong Theory," held on the 28th of last month at the Jangseong County Residents' Hall, was attended by more than 3,000 people, including National Assemblyman Lee Gaeho, Kim Yungrok, Governor of South Jeolla Province, Kang Gijung, Mayor of Gwangju, Kim San, Governor of Muan County, Lee Sangik, Governor of Hampyeong County, Lee Seokhyeong, former Governor of Hampyeong County, various heads of local governments, political and administrative figures, and local residents.
National Assembly Speaker Woo Wonshik; National Assembly members Park Chandae, Moon Jeongbok, Hwang Myungseon, and Kim Youngho; Kim Daejung, Superintendent of Education for South Jeolla Province; Lee Jeongseon, Superintendent of Education for Gwangju; and Jeong Cheongrae, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, sent congratulatory video messages.
The newly published "Growth Jangseong Theory" is notable for documenting Governor Kim's record of field-oriented administration, which he personally led throughout Jangseong for more than 1,350 days since taking office for the 8th popularly elected term. The book summarizes Jangseong County’s transformation process and future growth strategies, including strengthening agricultural competitiveness, establishing a stay-type tourism base, expanding living SOC, and improving residential conditions.
Governor Kim presented specific action plans, such as: ▲ building a more comprehensive and convenient metropolitan transportation network; ▲ expanding educational and cultural infrastructure linked to the Gwangju living zone; ▲ advancing the agricultural bioindustry and local specialized industries; ▲ enhancing the foundation for population inflow by improving residential conditions and expanding social wages; and ▲ creating a semiconductor-specialized complex for mutual growth between South Jeolla Province and Gwangju.
Governor Kim emphasized, "The past 1,350 days have been a time of running tirelessly with only the county residents in mind. This book is not just a collection of slogans but a record of growth proven by results, and it marks the starting point of our promise to move toward a greater future."
He added, "Since the integration, I have designed strategies and determined the pace at which Jangseong should move forward. The only standard for every decision is the lives of Jangseong County residents."
