On the morning of March 3, 2026, Gimhae City in Gyeongnam held the Jisinbalgi ritual for the first full moon of the lunar new year, praying for unity and well-being among its citizens throughout the year.
Jisinbalgi is a traditional seasonal custom performed around the first full moon of the lunar year. It involves making offerings to Jisin, the earth deity who is believed to protect the home, and playing traditional percussion music to wish for peace and prosperity for families in the coming year.
