Dambit Youth Culture House and Dambit Dream Youth After-School Academy in Damyang County, Jeonnam, recently operated the "Youth Career and Safety Integrated Experience Program" in cooperation with the Gwangju Northern Youth Police School. Provided by Damyang County, Jeonnam
Youth in Damyang, Jeonnam transformed into police officers for a day, directly experiencing scientific investigation and simulated shooting, thereby enhancing their career exploration and safety awareness.
According to Damyang-gun on February 27, the Dambit Youth Culture House and Dambit Dream Youth After-School Academy recently operated a "Youth Career and Safety Integrated Experience Program" in cooperation with the Gwangju Northern Youth Police School for 21 local youths.
This educational program focused on examining various types and cases of crimes that have recently become a growing social concern, and emphasized the importance of crime prevention. It also provided in-depth guidance on how to properly respond to unexpected dangerous situations that may arise in daily life.
During the subsequent field-based job experience, the youths learned scientific investigation techniques such as fingerprint collection and practiced simulated shooting, vividly experiencing the actual roles and work processes of police officers.
In a satisfaction survey conducted after the program, many of the youths responded that they had come to clearly recognize the importance of crime prevention. One participant shared, "By experiencing the work of a police officer firsthand, it became an opportunity for me to seriously reconsider my future career path."
An official from Damyang-gun stated, "By combining experiential career education and safety education, it provided a valuable opportunity for youths to form correct values and broaden their horizons for career exploration. We will continue to actively cooperate with relevant organizations to further expand customized experiential programs for youths in the future."
