Daegu Center for Happiness Advancement announced on March 3 that it has obtained, for the first time, the international standard certification for Anti-Corruption Management System (ISO 37001) from the Korea Management Registrar (KMR).
This certification is especially meaningful as it marks the agency's first establishment of an anti-corruption management system that meets international standards since its founding, and as it has systematized organization-wide risk management and ethical control systems.
To achieve this certification, Daegu Center for Happiness Advancement conducted a corruption risk assessment across all departments, enhanced its conflict-of-interest management system, strengthened inspections of areas vulnerable to corruption, improved internal whistleblowing procedures, and expanded customized integrity training for executives and staff. In addition, it established a dedicated anti-corruption team and a continuous monitoring system to ensure the effective implementation of the system in practice.
The Daegu Center for Happiness Advancement stated, "This certification is an achievement that systematizes our level of integrity and ethical management in line with international standards," adding, "We will continue to strengthen public trust through transparent and responsible operations."
Going forward, the organization plans to further reinforce its foundation of trust within the local community by advancing its internal control system, strengthening data-driven risk management, and continuing to promote a culture of integrity.
