On March 3, the Daegu Metropolitan Office of Education announced the "2026 Local Government Official Recruitment Examination Plan" for hiring educational administration personnel, releasing the details through its official website.
The number of candidates to be recruited this year is 65. By category, this includes 53 for educational administration (48 general, 3 for persons with disabilities, and 2 from low-income backgrounds), 8 for librarians, 1 for driver, 2 for industrial (general machinery), and 1 for industrial (general electricity).
The minimum age for applicants is 18 years old (born on or before December 31, 2008).
The application period for the educational administration, librarian, and driver positions will run for five days from April 13 to April 17, and the written test will be held on June 20.
For the librarian positions, applicants must hold at least one certification as a first- or second-class librarian or as an associate librarian. For the driver position, applicants must possess a large vehicle driver's license, have at least one year of experience driving a large passenger vehicle, and be eligible for employment support upon recommendation from the Daegu Regional Office of Veterans Affairs.
The recruitment examination for industrial positions (general machinery, general electricity) is limited to graduates (or expected graduates) of Daegu specialized high schools or Meister high schools. Applications for these positions will be accepted over five days from August 24 to August 28, and the written test will take place on October 31. To be eligible for this exam, applicants must submit a letter of recommendation from their school principal during the designated period before the application window opens.
All applications must be submitted via the "Online Recruitment for Teaching Staff" platform. Applicants with disabilities, pregnant women, and others may request reasonable accommodations based on their needs and type of disability.
