Seongsan District of Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam Province is conducting a joint inspection of food sales businesses at schools, kindergartens, and group cafeterias to mark the start of the spring semester. The inspection will continue until March 20, 2026.
The main items to be inspected include: △(Group cafeterias) whether preserved samples are properly stored; △hygienic handling of food; △cleanliness management of kitchens and ingredient storage rooms; △cleanliness management of cooking machines and utensils; △whether knives and cutting boards are used separately; △whether staff wear sanitary hats and masks; △personal hygiene management, including health checkups; and △(Group cafeteria food sales) compliance with temperature standards for delivery vehicles when transporting ingredients.
Suyun Kim, Head of the Culture and Sanitation Department, emphasized, "The period before and after the start of the semester is a particularly important time for food poisoning prevention and management. We will do our utmost to ensure on-site hygiene management so that students and young children can use school meals with peace of mind."
