Korea Electrical Safety Corporation has launched an initiative to identify individuals who have contributed to the prevention of electrical accidents and the development of the national industry.
The Electrical Safety Corporation announced on March 3 that it will accept nominations for the 2026 Electrical Safety Management Merit Awards until April 15.
This recognition program is designed to encourage those who have dedicated themselves to preventing electrical accidents in both industrial settings and daily life, and to promote a nationwide culture of safety. This year, the Corporation plans to actively identify the contributions of field staff and managers who have worked to ensure public safety amid rapidly changing energy environments.
Eligible candidates include organizations or individuals who have contributed to: the establishment of electrical safety management systems; the development and distribution of outstanding electrical products; the design, construction, and supervision of electrical facilities to ensure safety; and the advancement and promotion of safety management technologies for renewable energy.
The Corporation, together with the Ministry of Climate, Energy and Environment, will select award recipients through a review process. Honors include: the Order of Industrial Service Merit, the Industrial Medal, the Presidential Citation, the Prime Minister's Citation, the Minister of Climate Award, and the President of the Electrical Safety Corporation Award. The awards ceremony will be held during the Electrical Safety Awards event at the '2026 Korea Electrical Safety Conference,' scheduled for September 8-11 this year.
