Official Schedule Begins with Welcoming Students at Geumsan Central Elementary and Visit to Chilbaek Eui Chong
"Education is the Most Important Foundation for the Region's Future"
Kwon Youngsun, Superintendent of Geumsan Office of Education, held an inauguration ceremony at the main auditorium at 10:00 a.m. on March 3, officially beginning his tenure.
Prior to the ceremony, Superintendent Kwon began his first day by visiting Geumsan Central Elementary School, a local school, in the morning, greeting students as they arrived and taking his first steps in the field.
Superintendent Kwon exchanged greetings with students, encouraged the teaching staff, and listened to on-site feedback regarding the creation of a safe and welcoming educational environment.
Afterward, he visited Chilbaek Eui Chong, a prominent patriotic memorial site in Geumsan, to pay his respects. Through this, he reaffirmed his commitment and sense of duty as the head of the local education authority responsible for the region's education.
In his inaugural address, Superintendent Kwon stated, "Education is the most important foundation for opening up the future of the region," and added, "I will promote field-centered education so that every student is respected and can fully realize their potential."
He further emphasized, "The essence of education is to help children grow in their own unique ways," and pledged, "I will strive to create schools where learning brings joy and growth brings hope."
He also remarked, "By working closely with staff, parents, and the local community, I will help build a trustworthy education system in Geumsan."
Kwon Youngsun previously served as the Head of Educational Affairs at the Geumsan Office of Education. With this appointment, he has become the 35th Superintendent of the Geumsan Office of Education.
