Carrot announced on March 3 that it will expand the scope of secondhand transactions nationwide, but only for listings with the 'Buy Now' option.
The main goal is to broaden the connection range so that users can access items that are difficult to find locally, without being limited by geographic distance.
Users of Carrot have consistently raised concerns that the number of local listings in certain categories is too limited, making it difficult to find desired products. This has been especially true for users outside the metropolitan area, who have found that specific branded clothing, baby products, or hobby goods are either not registered at all or available only in a very limited selection.

To address this, Carrot has expanded the trading range for 'Buy Now' items, which are delivered via courier, to cover the entire nation. On the home feed, listings will continue to be shown based on items available in the user’s neighborhood, while nationwide 'Buy Now' listings can only be found through search. After first applying this feature to a subset of users and testing for service stability, Carrot plans to gradually expand it further.
A Carrot representative said, "While maintaining Carrot’s neighborhood-based identity and philosophy, we have revamped the service to better fit the characteristics of 'Buy Now', allowing users to trade a wider variety of products more safely and conveniently. We will continue to further enhance the service to meet user demand in the future."
