Seasonal Ingredients Like Webfoot Octopus and Spring Greens Featured
Leisure and Concession Division Achieves 11% Annual Growth Over Three Years
CJ Freshway announced on March 3 that it will introduce new seasonal menus at leisure and concession dining facilities, such as golf courses, rest areas, and hospitals, to mark the spring season. The company plans to enhance customer satisfaction through unique menus tailored to each business site’s concept and customer participation events.
At golf course restaurants, new menu items have been launched under the concept of "Gourmet Garden," which expresses the idea of "Spring, when nature is at its most delicious, showcased with seasonal ingredients." The four dishes include "Buckwheat Noodles with Webfoot Octopus and Perilla Oil," featuring seasonal spring greens and webfoot octopus with a plant-based tofu sauce; "Chicken Mustard Cold Salad with Fried Dumplings," which pairs chicken with fresh spring vegetables; "Pollack Roe and Crown Daisy Hangover Soup"; and a "Crispy Chicken and Nachos Platter."
A mobile stamp event is also being held for group customers. Dining benefits are provided based on the usage of food and beverage facilities within the golf course. The event will run through the end of this year.
At the food courts "Gourmet Bridge" and "Food O’Clock," which operate in rest areas and hospitals, new menu items highlighting the vibrant colors of spring ingredients are available under the theme "The Power of Green Awakening Spring." Signature dishes include Chamnamul Bulgogi Bibim Noodles, Clear Spring Cabbage Beef Soup, Clear Spring Webfoot Octopus Soup, and Water Parsley & Cockle Bibimbap.
According to CJ Freshway, the leisure and concession division continues to grow by strengthening product appeal through the launch of menus that reinterpret seasonal ingredients. The average annual sales growth rate over the past three years has reached 11 percent, and growth is expected to continue this year, driven by increasing tourist numbers.
A CJ Freshway representative stated, "We are actively developing new menu items to provide customers visiting our stores with a unique gourmet experience," adding, "We will continue to listen to our customers’ needs and enhance satisfaction by offering differentiated products and services, thereby strengthening our business competitiveness."
