KB Asset Management 'RISE Hydrogen Economy Theme ETF' Achieves 141.15% One-Year Return

KB Asset Management's 'RISE Hydrogen Economy Theme ETF' is attracting attention in the market as a leading exchange-traded fund (ETF) that invests broadly across national strategic infrastructure. Its one-year return has exceeded 140% in recent months.

On February 3, KB Asset Management announced that the RISE Hydrogen Economy Theme ETF recorded returns of 23.92% over the past month, 51.56% over the past six months, and 141.15% over the past year.

The RISE Hydrogen Economy Theme ETF is an infrastructure ETF that goes beyond previous hydrogen vehicle and fuel cell-focused thematic products, investing across the entire spectrum of national strategic industries, including artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure, defense, and power grids. Its distinguishing feature is that it does not limit itself to a single energy sector but includes key infrastructure companies that reflect changes in the domestic industrial structure.

The main components of the ETF include Hyundai Motor, Hanwha Aerospace, Hyundai Mobis, Doosan Enerbility, POSCO Holdings, Hyosung Heavy Industries, and LS ELECTRIC, with the top seven stocks accounting for approximately 85% of the portfolio. These companies play important roles across national strategic industries, leveraging hydrogen-related technologies in areas such as AI-based mobility, defense and space industries, small modular reactors (SMR), and power grid infrastructure. For example, Hyundai Motor is expanding beyond its image as a hydrogen vehicle company to become a global mobility platform enterprise based on AI, robotics, and software, while Hanwha Aerospace is strengthening its presence in the defense, space, and energy security sectors. Doosan Enerbility is being redefined as a power infrastructure company focused on small modular reactors (SMR) and gas turbines, and Hyosung Heavy Industries and LS ELECTRIC are considered direct beneficiaries of increased investment in power grids driven by the expansion of AI data centers.
