Completion of 100,000 m² Hongcheon Bukbang Agro-Industrial Complex
Move-In of Six Companies Becomes Visible
Hongcheon County in Gangwon Province has completed the construction of the Hongcheon Bukbang Agro-Industrial Complex, which was developed to expand the region’s industrial base. On December 3, a completion and move-in ceremony was held in the Sanghwagye-ri area of Bukbang-myeon, attended by over 200 people, including Hongcheon County Mayor Shin Youngjae, Hongcheon County Council Chairman Park Youngrok, county council members, related officials, and local residents.
This agro-industrial complex was developed with a total project cost of 20.5 billion won, covering an area of 100,507 square meters. It includes 16 industrial lots, a 0.53-kilometer access road (15 meters wide), and one bridge, providing a suitable environment for businesses operating within the complex.
The eligible industries for occupancy, according to the Korean Standard Industrial Classification, are: ▲Food Manufacturing (C10) ▲Beverage Manufacturing (C11) ▲Chemical and Chemical Product Manufacturing (C20) ▲Medical Substances and Pharmaceutical Manufacturing (C21) ▲Electronics, Computers, Imaging, Audio, and Telecommunications Equipment Manufacturing (C26) ▲Medical, Precision, Optical Instruments, and Clocks Manufacturing (C27) ▲Other Machinery and Equipment Manufacturing (C29), totaling seven sectors. The sale price is 204,726 won per square meter, with guidance provided according to the relevant procedures.
Since the start of applications in August this year, six companies, including those in the food manufacturing sector, have moved into or applied for seven of the planned 16 lots, and sales contracts are currently under review.
Support for companies and administrative procedures related to the complex will continue to be carried out in accordance with relevant laws and standards.
An official from Hongcheon County stated, "Support measures that take into account business operating conditions will be guided according to the relevant systems, and we plan to continue maintaining infrastructure and providing administrative support in line with the operational status of the complex."
