"I Will Do My Best for the Freedom of the Republic of Korea"
Former President Yoon Sukyeol, who is facing charges as the ringleader of an insurrection, sent a letter from prison to Korean history instructor Jeon Hangil. Jeon has continued to engage in supportive activities, including claiming election fraud and asserting the innocence of former President Yoon.
On November 28, Jeon Hangil released the letter he received from former President Yoon through his YouTube channel, "Jeon Hangil News." Former President Yoon began by saying, "I believe that Mr. Jeon is a precious gift that God has sent to the Republic of Korea. That is why I pray every morning and evening, asking God to protect Mr. Jeon's safety and health."
He continued, "I understand that your overseas activities must be challenging. However, I believe that trusting in God's work, entrusting everything to Him, and finding peace and joy through righteous actions is what brings glory to God. Even though I am in prison, I am also doing my best in what I can do," he added.
He also expressed gratitude to those active in the United States, such as Gordon Chang, Moss Tan, and Fred Fleitz. Former President Yoon stated, "I would appreciate it if you could let them know that I pray to the Lord every morning and evening," and added, "To the people of our nation, please stay strong and always be healthy. For the freedom of the Republic of Korea, and for your health and peace, I earnestly pray to God."
