The Mutual Growth Week Ceremony has been held since 2004 to promote mutual growth between large corporations and small-medium enterprises and to raise public understanding and interest in win-win cooperation.
At the ceremony, awards were presented to individuals and organizations who have made significant contributions to mutual growth activities. The Small Enterprise and Market Service was recognized for its achievements in creating a mutual growth ecosystem through various public-private partnership support programs, such as developing the first-ever traditional market safety management job utilizing senior workers and opening exclusive overseas permanent stores for small businesses, and thus received the Minister of SMEs and Startups Commendation.
In particular, the senior employment model in response to an aging society was highlighted as a leading example, as it not only strengthened safety management capabilities in traditional markets but also realized the social value of creating local jobs. The operation of exclusive permanent stores to help small businesses expand overseas and inter-agency collaboration projects to enhance the export competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises were also highly recognized.
Park Sunghyo, Chairman of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, stated, "This award is especially meaningful as it recognizes the organization's efforts to create a foundation for traditional markets, small businesses, and small-medium enterprises to grow together," and added, "Going forward, we will continue to provide sustainable support to create and expand a mutual growth ecosystem through public-private cooperation."
