Duksung Women's University announced on the 17th that Professor Kim was appointed as Acting President in accordance with the resolution of the 9th Board of Directors meeting held on the 10th. His term will run from November 13, 2025, until a new president is appointed.
Acting President Kim graduated from the Department of Sociology at Korea University and earned his master's and doctoral degrees from the University of G?ttingen in Germany. Since joining Duksung Women's University in 2000, he has served as Director of the Career Development Center, Dean of the College of Global Convergence, and Director of the Institute of Knowledge and Culture. He is currently serving as Dean of Academic Affairs.
In April last year, Acting President Kim participated in the National Informatization Strategy Committee and the Digital Society, where he was recognized for his contributions to addressing the digital divide and establishing the Digital Bill of Rights in response to social changes brought about by digital transformation. For his efforts in fostering national discourse, he was awarded the Presidential Commendation for Meritorious Service.
