Promoting Sustainable Consumption by Encouraging Laundry Care for Existing Padding Jackets Instead of New Purchases
Uisikju Company, which operates the contactless mobile laundry service "Lundrigo," announced on November 14 that it is launching the "Green Friday" campaign focused on sustainability and holding a padding laundry fee payback event.
This campaign, under the slogan "Not New Clothes, But Like New Clothes," aims to spread a sustainable consumption culture by encouraging customers to wear their existing padding jackets longer through professional care, rather than purchasing new ones during the Black Friday season.
Lundrigo's padding laundry service minimizes damage to padding by providing specialized care such as: ▲ separate washing of accessories like fur trimming, hoods, and belts ▲ pre-treatment of outer fabric stains to prevent foreign substances from entering the interior ▲ a fluffing process during drying to prevent clumping of filling materials. Based on this expertise, Lundrigo handled approximately 280,000 padding laundry orders last year.
Until November 30, Lundrigo is running a promotion where all customers who use the padding laundry service will receive a refund of up to 10,000 points per pickup request. During the event period, customers who include padding in their laundry will earn 3,000 points for one item, 6,000 points for two items, and up to 10,000 points for three or more items, depending on the quantity.
Kim Yesle, Growth Marketing Manager at Lundrigo, said, "This promotion was designed to encourage a consumption culture that considers the environment and sustainability, rather than excessive spending during Black Friday," adding, "We will continue to enhance our laundry services for each type of clothing so that customers can wear their clothes longer and with greater value."
Meanwhile, last year Lundrigo launched an eco-friendly dress shirt that eliminated unnecessary packaging boxes and plastic by analyzing laundry data from approximately 4 million dress shirts to identify customer-preferred brands and designs. The company also provides a sustainable customer experience throughout its services by using eco-certified GoGreen plastic bags, reusable hangers, and introducing electronic tags (RFID) instead of paper barcodes.
