'Artists' Prompt' as the Theme
A Comprehensive Discourse on Art in the Age of Artificial Intelligence
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Art Korea Lab, under the Arts Management Support Center, held the '2025 Art Korea Lab Festival' under the theme of 'Artists' Prompt', covering a comprehensive discourse on art in the age of artificial intelligence.
Running until November 14, this festival serves as a platform to share the achievements of the past year, including experimental works and collaborative projects discovered through the support of Art Korea Lab. Thirteen teams of domestic artists and companies are unveiling AI, XR, and VR-based creations, and 16 results from Art Korea Lab's support programs, such as 'Technology Convergence Open Innovation' and 'University-Linked Art & Tech Startup Activation', are also on display and open to the public.
In particular, to examine the current state of art in the age of artificial intelligence, three international invited works (by Lawrence Lek, Gregory Chatonsky, and BOLDTRON) are being showcased alongside 13 works by domestic artists (including Geari Studio, Human Factory, and Noh Jina, among others).
At the opening performance, Claudix Vanesix, who is based in France, presented a performance combining artificial intelligence and XR. This performance expressed a new era of coexistence between AI and humans through body movements, offering visitors a unique experience. In addition, a conference was held over two days, inviting around 27 domestic and international experts to discuss the present and future directions of artificial intelligence (AI) in the fields of art-technology creation, production, and commercialization.
The festival program also includes the 'Pitching Awards', which discovers and awards organizations aspiring to commercialize art-technology convergence, as well as a networking program where artists, art organizations (companies), experts, and investors can freely interact.
The Art Korea Lab Festival is open to everyone, allowing free access to creation and production exhibitions, commercialization exhibitions, and open studios. Some exhibitions will be extended until November 15, and detailed information on programs and exhibitions can be found on the official websites of the Arts Management Support Center and Art Korea Lab.
