Korea Investment & Securities announced on November 10 that it has launched its new robo-advisory discretionary management service for retirement pensions, called 'Quarterback AI Robo Discretionary'.
The Quarterback AI Robo Discretionary service utilizes Quarterback Asset Management’s proprietary algorithm to offer customized portfolios that reflect each client’s investment tendencies and preferred styles (U.S., Korean, or global). It features a sophisticated and objective management approach based on an economic assessment model that combines macroeconomic, corporate, and market sentiment data, as well as asset-specific investment signals. The company emphasized that, in addition, regular rebalancing is conducted at least once a month to ensure flexible responses to market changes.
With this launch, Korea Investment & Securities now operates a total of four robo-advisory services-alongside Korea Investment Trust Management, December & Company, and Uprize Investment Advisory-completing the largest lineup among financial institutions.
Kim Soonshil, Head of Retirement Pension Management at Korea Investment & Securities, stated, "Robo-advisors provide portfolios based on proven algorithms, making them the optimal product for clients who find direct investing challenging," adding, "We will continue to expand digital-based pension investment services by collaborating with a variety of partners."
Clients can sign up 24/7 through the Korea Investment & Securities mobile app, entirely online. For individual IRPs, one contract per account is allowed, with an annual limit of 9 million won per account. Early termination is also possible at any time without any separate redemption fees.
