Seeking Overseas Jobs... Busan Youth Global Job Fair

36 Overseas Companies from 9 Countries
Aim to Hire 270 Young Professionals

Busan City has opened a global job fair for local youth aspiring to work overseas.

On November 10 at 10 a.m., Busan City (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) held the "2025 Busan Youth Global Job Fair" in the main conference hall and auditorium on the first floor of City Hall. The event was organized to provide young people with opportunities to develop international capabilities and to take a leap onto the global stage.

The fair was co-hosted by Busan City and the Ministry of Employment and Labor, and organized by the Busan Economic Promotion Agency and the Human Resources Development Service of Korea. This year, the scope of participating companies was expanded beyond the traditional focus on Asian companies to include those from English-speaking countries such as the United States and Australia. Recruitment is being conducted in a variety of fields, including IT, service industries, dental technicians, childcare teachers, and chefs, offering a wide range of options for young people preparing for overseas employment.

This event features participation from 36 overseas companies from nine countries, with a goal of hiring a total of 270 people. During the pre-registration period in September and October, 570 individuals applied, demonstrating high interest.

On-site, youth-focused programs are being offered, including overseas company recruitment interviews, global job lectures, overseas employment counseling, and free suit rentals for interviews. In particular, practical lectures such as "Working Holiday System and Prevention of Overseas Employment Crime Victimization" and "U.S. Employment Mentoring" are prepared to provide tangible help to young people seeking jobs abroad.

Through this fair, Busan City is also promoting the "Busan Youth Global Job Challenge Project" to help globally competent youth secure stable employment domestically. The project provides internship support to up to five individuals per company, offering 1 million won per person per month for three months, so that young people with overseas work experience can quickly settle into Busan-based companies.

Lee Joonseung, Deputy Mayor for Administrative Affairs of Busan City, stated, "I hope this event will serve as an opportunity for young people to overcome the barriers to overseas employment and grow into global talent," adding, "We will continue to support Busan's youth so that they can enhance their competitiveness on the world stage."
