Hana Securities announced on November 7 that, together with the Seoul Metropolitan Youth Center, it will provide comprehensive health checkups worth 300,000 won per person to "resting youth" aged 19 to 39 residing in Seoul, from November 12 to December 3.
This marks the third consecutive year of Hana Securities’ flagship youth support social contribution initiative, aimed at helping resting youth manage their health and achieve psychological stability. "Resting youth" refers to young people who are not participating in the labor market and are currently taking a break. Notably, this year, the Seoul Metropolitan Youth Center has allocated its own budget to support an additional 20 individuals, allowing a total of 120 young people-including 100 supported by Hana Securities-to benefit from the health checkup program.
Hana Securities will also provide all health checkup recipients with both basic and advanced financial education programs. The classes will be held at the main auditorium of the Seoul Metropolitan Youth Center on November 11, 18, and 20, and will be divided into beginner and intermediate levels.
Gal Sangmyeon, Head of ESG at Hana Securities, stated, “Hana Securities’ health checkup support program for resting youth, now in its third year, has become more than just medical assistance. By supporting young people’s health management, it serves as a starting point for them to re-enter the workforce and build assets.” He added, “We will continue to pursue sincere social contribution by seeking out those in need of support.”
Shin Somi, Head of the Seoul Metropolitan Youth Center, commented, “This year, we expanded the number of health checkup recipients by 20, allowing more young people to benefit. We plan to continue providing practical support so that resting youth can recover their health and prepare to enter society.”
