Since 2006, the Department of Hotel Management at Jeonju University has achieved overseas employment for 381 students. The countries of employment include Singapore, Guam, Vietnam, Saipan, New Zealand, and Dubai. The department continues to provide various forms of support to help students develop practical skills and a global service mindset in multicultural environments, going beyond simply increasing the number of job placements.
In particular, starting in September 2025, the department will officially launch the "English Track," a program delivered entirely in English, to actively attract students from English-speaking countries as well as international students. A buddy program is also in place, allowing foreign and Korean students to support each other both academically and in university life.
Hwang Insu, Head of the Department of Hotel Management, stated, "The Department of Hotel Management at Jeonju University will not be limited to Korea, but will strengthen its role as a hub for nurturing global hoteliers by pursuing overseas employment and educational innovation under the vision of 'The World is Our Campus.'"
Meanwhile, the department plans to use this recruitment interview as an opportunity to diversify its industry-academia collaboration and on-site hiring channels, further solidifying its career development pipeline that connects regular coursework, field internships, and overseas employment.
In particular, the department will focus on enhancing students' English communication skills and practical and luxury service standards through interview preparation classes, mock interviews, and service skills coaching linked to the English Track.
