The Life Insurance Association announced on the 22nd that it will participate in the Youth Illegal Gambling Eradication Relay Campaign organized by the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency.
The campaign is conducted in a relay format to raise awareness about the seriousness and dangers of youth gambling and to promote prevention efforts. The campaign is being carried out under the slogan, "Illegal Cyber Gambling Targeting Youth: A Scam Crime You Can Never Win."
Kim Cheolju, chairman of the Life Insurance Association, joined the campaign after being nominated by KB Life Insurance CEO Jung Mooncheol. Chairman Kim currently serves as co-chairman of the Life Insurance Social Contribution Committee. He is dedicated to creating an environment that supports the healthy development of youth, including youth suicide prevention programs, financial insurance and ethics education, mentoring for children from vulnerable groups, and support for digital culture education.

The Life Insurance Association plans to further strengthen its educational and promotional activities to prevent and reduce the recurrence of illegal gambling among youth, using this campaign as an opportunity.
Chairman Kim stated, "The healthy development of youth is directly linked to the sustainable future of our society," adding, "The life insurance industry will continue to strengthen efforts to instill sound values and enhance financial and ethical awareness among youth, thereby reinforcing its role as a social safety net."
Meanwhile, Chairman Kim nominated Hanwha Life Insurance and the Korea Insurance Development Institute as the next participants in the relay campaign.
