Establishment of "CESNA Recruitment Thailand" in Bangkok
CESNA, a global talent acquisition specialist headquartered in the United States (CEO: Joe Jaewon Cho), has officially established its first Southeast Asian subsidiary, "CESNA Recruitment Thailand," in Sukhumvit, the central business district of Bangkok, Thailand. The company announced that it has begun offering local headhunting and talent matching services in earnest.
This entry into Thailand marks the first time in the 35-year history of the Korean headhunting industry that a Korean headhunting company has established a presence in Thailand. Through this move, CESNA plans to position the Southeast Asian market as a new growth hub.
CESNA has newly developed a Thailand talent database (DB) module within its existing global talent information system, enabling the company to secure specialized personnel across key industries in Thailand and provide tailored recruitment solutions for the local market. In addition, CESNA has officially obtained a national human resources service license from the Thai Ministry of Labor, allowing it to operate legitimate talent recommendation services in compliance with local regulations.
Currently, CESNA offers recruitment support services for mid-level and senior professionals in major functions such as sales, production, administration, and marketing to multinational corporations from the United States, Europe, Japan, and Korea operating in Thailand.
As of 2024, the Thai headhunting market is estimated to be worth approximately 200 billion KRW. European and Japanese global headhunting firms are competing in Bangkok as well as in the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) regions such as Chonburi and Rayong. In this environment, CESNA aims to secure competitiveness by combining localized recruitment strategies with its global network to offer differentiated services.
Founded in Seoul in 1999, CESNA now has its global headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey, and provides executive search and HR consulting services in key locations such as North America, China, and Japan. The establishment of the Thailand subsidiary is regarded as a key base in CESNA's global expansion strategy and a bridgehead for entering the Southeast Asian market.
