HD Hyundai Electric Strengthens Collaboration with Partners... Up to 700 Million Won Interest-Free Support for Three Years

HD Hyundai Electric is launching a multifaceted support initiative to enhance the competitiveness of its partner companies.


On September 25 in Ulsan, HD Hyundai Electric announced that it had signed a "Smart Factory Construction Support Project and Energy Efficiency Project Business Agreement," attended by President Kim Younggi and representatives of partner companies.


The government operates various programs to help small and medium-sized enterprises, as well as mid-sized companies, improve their production environments and reduce energy consumption. However, many companies face difficulties participating due to the burden of initial investment, complicated procedures, and lack of expertise. To address these challenges, HD Hyundai Electric will provide 22 partner companies with specialized consulting, direct investment support, and financial assistance.

The Smart Factory Construction Support Project, signed this time under the supervision of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, is a program in which the government subsidizes part of the costs for companies introducing digital solutions and automation systems. HD Hyundai Electric will provide up to 120 million won in additional support for each partner company and plans to further strengthen its collaborative system by sharing real-time production status based on a data-driven Manufacturing Execution System (MES).


The Energy Efficiency Project, also signed on this day, is operated in a way that public institutions such as the Korea Environment Corporation subsidize part of the project costs to support companies' investments in energy reduction. In addition, HD Hyundai Electric plans to provide up to 700 million won per partner company, interest-free for three years. This year, a total of 19 partner companies will receive comprehensive, one-stop support throughout the entire investment process, including facility diagnosis and investment consulting, facility construction and installation, and the establishment of an Energy Management System (EMS).


President Kim stated, "We believe that the competitiveness of our partner companies is directly linked to our own, and we are operating practical programs such as equipment investment funding, financial support, and the co-prosperity fund. We will continue to develop diverse support measures to ensure that our partner companies receive the benefits they truly need."
