Participation from 200 Families
A Festival of Laughter and Harmony Across Generations
The Yecheon County Family Center in North Gyeongsang Province successfully hosted the "Family Harmony Festival" on the fourth floor of the Yecheon County Multipurpose Community Center.
Kim Hakdong, the governor of Yecheon County, is giving a greeting speech at the Yecheon County Family Center Family Harmony Festival.
The event, held on September 13, was organized to strengthen bonds between family members and to promote a family-friendly culture within the local community. The festival received an enthusiastic response, with over 500 participants from 200 families in the county.
The festival began energetically with a flash mob dance involving all participants. This was followed by family sports activities, cooperative games, and team competitions, providing parents and children with opportunities to run and laugh together. Participants shared their impressions, saying, "The time spent with my children was more precious than anything," and "It was wonderful to enjoy the event together as a whole family after such a long time."
Center Director Joo Jeongha stated, "Family is the strongest support and the source of happiness," adding, "I hope this event serves as an opportunity to deepen love and bonds." He also said, "We will continue to create opportunities for families to laugh and spend time together."
With the vision of "Yecheon, a City Where Families Are Happy," Yecheon County plans to use this event as a stepping stone to expand various family support initiatives, aiming to become a city where families are happy and where raising children is easy.
This event went beyond being a simple recreational festival; it was an occasion to reaffirm the strength of the family community. The harmony created as generations laughed together became another step toward building a healthy foundation for the local community.
