Nine Strategies and 55 Tasks Unveiled in Response to National Policy Agenda
"Full Commitment to Establishing Urban Corporation, Industrial Promotion Agency, and Cultural Foundation"

Kim Bora, mayor of Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province, has presented economic revitalization, the expansion of renewable energy, and the activation of the resident population as the three key policy priorities in response to the new government's national agenda.

On the 9th, Mayor Kim held a press briefing at the Lifelong Learning Center to announce these plans. Mayor Kim stated, "The city has selected nine strategies and 55 tasks in connection with the new government's five-year national administration plan," adding, "In particular, we will focus administrative resources on three main areas: economic revitalization, expansion of renewable energy, and activation of the resident population."

The nine strategies revealed by Mayor Kim are: ▲Innovative economy through technology ▲Sustainable energy transition ▲Balanced development through local autonomy and decentralization ▲A vibrant and cooperative livelihood economy ▲Hopeful rural communities and agriculture ▲A basic society responsible for life and safety ▲An inclusive society that guarantees diversity ▲A creative society that provides opportunities for all ▲Problem-solving administration.

Mayor Kim especially emphasized plans to boost the economy by fostering regional strategic industries such as semiconductors and strengthening the livelihood economy, and to expand renewable energy through the distribution of solar power, support for RE100, and institutional improvements. Additionally, to activate the resident population, the city plans to promote initiatives such as a cyber citizen ID, the Hometown Love Donation Program, and tourism revitalization to secure sustainable growth engines.

The city also reaffirmed its commitment to establishing major institutions under the 8th popularly elected administration. Mayor Kim said, "We will do our utmost to ensure that essential infrastructure such as the Anseong Urban Corporation, the Industrial Promotion Agency, and the Cultural Foundation can be established as soon as possible to support urban development, the creation of a semiconductor-specialized complex, and the cultural city project."

Mayor Kim stressed, "In line with the new government's operating principles, Anseong will realize 'a city where citizens are the owners, a prosperous Anseong where we live together,'" adding, "We will continue to achieve a shining future for Anseong together with our citizens."
