Kia Targets European EV Market with EV5 and PV5 at [IAA 2025]

Showcasing Seven Electric Vehicles... Confidence in Capturing the European Market

On September 9 (local time), Kia unveiled a range of electric vehicle models at 'IAA Mobility 2025' held in Munich, Germany, signaling its push to capture the European market.

This marks Kia's return to the event after four years, following its last participation in 2021 when the venue shifted from Frankfurt to Munich. The company is showcasing seven models, including 'The Kia Concept EV2', EV3, EV4, EV5, EV6, EV9, and PV5 Passenger.

The EV5, making its European debut, is Kia's fifth dedicated electric vehicle. It embodies Kia's design philosophy of 'Opposites United,' which fuses contrasting concepts creatively, and is recognized for its outstanding spaciousness and versatility.

The PV5 is a vehicle developed on the dedicated electrification platform for purpose-built vehicles (PBV), 'E-GMP.S.' The PV5 Passenger model boasts advantages such as ample interior and cargo space, as well as flexible seat configurations.

The Concept EV2 is a concept model of Kia's compact SUV EV2, optimized for urban driving, with the goal of launching the mass-production version in Europe next year.

During the event, Kia is also holding test drive sessions for the EV3, EV6, and EV9, offering visitors a variety of attractions and hands-on experiences.
