Led by Senior Vice Chairman Chung Kisun, executives and staff from sales, research and development, and engineering will introduce eco-friendly ship technologies to global shipping companies and classification societies, and propose strategies for advancing the shipbuilding and maritime industries.

During the exhibition, HD Hyundai will receive basic certification from a global classification society for its next-generation gas carrier design, which features crew accommodations at the bow and wind-assisted propulsion devices. By placing crew living quarters at the front of the vessel, additional space is secured on the main deck, allowing for the installation of multiple wind propulsion units to maximize fuel efficiency.

In addition, the company will obtain basic certification from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) for "VesselWise," an autonomous operation system for equipment without crew intervention, as well as a Product Design Assessment (PDA) for "AI-CHS," which optimizes the use of boil-off gas during operation. HD Hyundai will also sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Sweden's Consilium to jointly demonstrate the fire response AI solution "HiCAMS," and collaborate with Lloyd's Register on a project to retrofit liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) carriers into ammonia dual-fuel vessels.

On the second day, September 10, HD Hyundai will hold a technical seminar to present the latest developments in eco-friendly and AI technologies to shipping companies and classification societies.

An HD Hyundai representative stated, "We possess the optimal ship technologies that maximize performance while meeting environmental regulations," adding, "Through continuous investment and technological development, we aim to lead the era of carbon-neutral vessels."
