Welfare Leader Awareness Training
and Launching Ceremony of Changnyeong-e Neighbor Connection Group
Changnyeong County in South Gyeongsang Province and the Changnyeong County Community Social Security Council announced on the 25th that they held the "2025 Hope Echo Welfare Academy," a welfare leader awareness training session, at the Gyeonghwa Hall in Changnyeong-eup.
This training focused on the theme of "Preventing Solitary Death." Kim Saebyeol, CEO of Biohazard, delivered a lecture covering topics such as: What is solitary death, Records of those left behind, Risk groups for solitary death, and Prevention of solitary death.
About 100 people attended the training, including members of the Community Social Security Council, honorary social welfare officials, and members of the Neighbor Connection Group. They took time to understand the importance and role of human safety networks in preventing solitary death.
In addition, before the training, a launching ceremony was held for the Changnyeong-e Neighbor Connection Group. The Neighbor Connection Group is a community activity organization led by local residents, which aims to identify socially isolated households early and support them so they are no longer isolated from society, by building relationships through regular check-ins. The county plans to continue identifying and supporting households in crisis through the activities of the Neighbor Connection Group and the operation of social network-building programs.
One council member who attended said, "In a reality where single-person and socially isolated households are increasing, I feel a greater sense of duty, knowing that my small interest can save someone and contribute to the recovery of the community."
Changnyeong County Governor Sung Nakin, who visited the event, stated, "We will continue to provide ongoing training to strengthen the capabilities of welfare leaders and do our best to create a welfare community where no one is left behind."
