Woongjin Group Appoints Moon Hosang as CEO of Woongjin Freed Life

Internal Promotion Announced
Final Approval at Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting on August 12

Woongjin Group announced on July 28 that it has appointed Moon Hosang, Executive Director, as the new CEO of its funeral service affiliate, Woongjin Freed Life.

Moon previously served as Creative Director at Geumgang Planning and CEO at Best Communications before joining Woongjin Freed Life in 2015, where he held positions such as Head of Sales and Head of Funeral Services.

He is recognized for playing a pivotal role in solidifying Woongjin Freed Life's leading position in the industry by achieving significant results in key areas of the funeral service business, including sales, marketing, ceremonial services, and funeral hall development.

This appointment is an internal promotion rather than an external recruitment. Moon is expected to contribute to organizational stabilization and the creation of integrated synergy following Woongjin Freed Life's incorporation as a subsidiary of Woongjin Group.

Moon is scheduled to be officially promoted to President and CEO after final approval at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders to be held on August 12.
